How to use Breville Espresso Machines

1. Fill the water reservoir 

Detach the water reservoir from the espresso machine and fill it with at least 5 oz of filtered water. However, it is advised to fill the water reservoir at least half the capacity of the water reservoir Moreover, make sure that the water container is clean before filling water.

2. Preheat the machine

5. Attach the porta filter 

Now it’s time to attach the portafilter to the group head. You can do this by simply rotating the portafilter until it gets locked in its position.

6. Choose your preferred coffee recipe 

You can skip this step if your machine doesn’t have any preset functions for coffee recipes because you have to press the espresso button only. However, if your machines do then select one of those coffee recipes and wait for your coffee to get brewed

7. Pull out an espresso shot

Place a coffee cup below the coffee outlet and on the drip tray carefully. Besides that, make sure the coffee cup can accommodate the quantity of coffee. Finally, press the espresso or double espresso shot according to your preferences. 

8. Steam the milk 

You can skip this step if you only want to brew an espresso shot. Furthermore, if your coffee recipe includes milk, do read it till the end. Rotate the steam knob or press the steam button and keep it idle for its heat up time.

Subsequently, take at least 100ml of full fat milk on the milk container and start the steam knob again after submerging the steam wand below the milk surface. Once you gain the desired consistency, remove the wand and clean it using a cloth. 

9. Serve
